Tutor vs. AI: Save Thousands Monthly! #shorts
Pete Cooper and a college student compare the monthly cost of a human tutor with paying for AI subscriptions. They put a tutor at around $500 a month against about $40 for both Claude Pro and ChatGPT.
Video summary
Pete Cooper works through the cost of a human tutor with his guest. He suggests around $65 an hour for a few hours a week, which they call roughly $120 a week and about $500 a month for one tutor and one student.
The guest's AI bill is far smaller. She says she pays $20 a month for Claude Pro, which also covers tools such as Claude Cowork, and that ChatGPT's $20 subscription includes Codex and gives a little more AI usage than Claude. Even with both, she puts the total at $40 a month. The prices are the speakers' own figures from the conversation.
