The Journey Matters More Than Reaching the Mountain Top #shorts

A speaker on the show compares flying a helicopter to a summit with climbing there on foot. The clip asks what is lost when you skip the steps that lead to a result.

Video summary

The speaker contrasts two ways to reach the top of a mountain. You could climb, walking past the river, smelling the forest and working up to the snow peak, or you could fly a helicopter and land at the top. Getting a helicopter to the top, the speaker says, is not a life experience.

The speaker then brings in hallucination. In the worst case the helicopter takes you to the wrong mountain, since all you asked for was the top of a mountain. Even when it lands in the right place, you never knew how you got there. The speaker links the value of the journey to picking up the peer review pieces along the way, in business as on the walk up the hill.

You could experience and smell the the forest and you could walk up through the get to the snow peak and what have you. Or you could just fly a helicopter there and go and land there. And in the worst case with an hallucination context, you could say, well, the helicopter took me to the wrong mountain, right? Cuz you just wanted to get to the top of a mountain. But in the other sense, you never knew how you got there. You didn't pass the river. You didn't pick up the flowers. You didn't do this.

You didn't have a journey >> to top of the mountain. You just got there. And then the question is, well, what's the value in the journey, you know? And I think if you're picking up the peer review pieces all along the way, um, in the business context or in the experience of walking up to the top of the hill, that's a life experience. It's like you have a life experience to climb that
