Save Small Businesses: Fight AI Advertising Dominance! #shorts
Therese Grittner explains why she worries that local businesses will be drowned out as large corporations spend heavily on AI advertising. She uses a search for the best cheeseburger nearby to show what is at stake.
Video summary
Therese Grittner says she really does not want small businesses to disappear to corporations, because small business owners cannot compete with that level of budget.
Her example is a search for the best cheeseburger near you. McDonald's, she says, has a bazillion dollars it can put into advertising and into flooding AI with answers to that question. She is clear that this is not a dig at anyone who likes McDonald's. What she wants is to keep hearing from local businesses, and to still be able to find the hole-in-the-wall cheeseburger place that has been there for 100 years instead of being surrounded by corporate billboards.
