EVTOLs : The Future of Emergency Medical Response 3
This short makes the case for paramedics flying eVTOL aircraft to emergencies and landing close to the patient. It explains why the speaker thinks the aircraft are cheap and simple enough to make that work in the first critical minutes.
Video summary
The speaker describes eVTOLs as significantly cheaper and easier to operate, and says they need much less infrastructure. Landing in a couple of parking spaces on a road, or in a park, is described as feasible.
The idea is that the first responder, the paramedic, is also the pilot. According to the speaker, eVTOLs are very easy to learn to fly, and training paramedics to fly them is what makes the plan viable.
The aim is not necessarily to take the patient to hospital, which an ambulance could still do. It is to get there quickly and deliver life support in those first critical moments, such as oxygen or stopping bleeding.

EV tolls are significantly cheaper, easier to operate, and require much less infrastructure, effectively landing in a couple of parking spaces on a road, or in a park, is certainly feasible. Now, the idea here is that the first responder, or the EMS practitioner, the paramedic, if you want to use that term, is also the pilot. Because of these EV tolls and their the way they operate, they're very, very easy to learn to fly. And so, by training a paramedic to fly them, really makes this whole solution quite viable, being able to take off and land quickly and bring service to someone that needs that first responder attention.
Not necessarily to take them to hospital, that could happen with an ambulance, but getting life support, maybe oxygen, stopping the blood, those very first critical moments could be happening very, very quickly.
