Are you getting tired of using AI?
Pete Cooper talks about the mental fatigue of working with AI tools and why it can be more draining than older ways of working. He suggests a daily limit to avoid burning out.
Video summary
Pete Cooper asks whether you are getting fatigued from overusing AI, and says he certainly does. Older workflows took more physical time, such as typing on a keyboard. Advanced AI tools, he says, work almost at the speed of thought, or at least the speed at which you can talk, and keeping up with that is hard work.
His advice is to limit how much you do each day. He does not think anyone should be doing it nine to five every day. Half the day, around four hours, is his rough benchmark, and probably less depending on the person. Because you are always learning something new and being challenged, heavy AI use is exhausting, and he warns that you can burn out.

Are you getting fatigued from overusing AI? I know certainly I get fatigued. Unlike historical workflows which required perhaps more time physically, for example, on the keyboard, having to control your fingers, when you're using AI and some of the advanced tools, they're almost operating at the speed of thought or at least the speed at which you can talk. And that can be very, very tiring. It can be really hard work. I would suggest limiting how much you do on a daily basis. And I don't think you should be doing it 9 to5 every day. I think it's far too exhausting. Half the day, maybe 4 hours is a good benchmark. I would say probably even less than that. It depends on your ability.
You're always learning something new. You're really being challenged. It's quite exhausting to be using AI a lot. So, please limit your time to how much you use it a day cuz you can get burnt out. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
