AI + Humans: The Real Winning Formula
Pete Cooper answers whether AI has a place in generating content, and lands on a qualified yes. His argument is that AI-made content earns its place as a genre of its own, and that the problem starts when it imitates a real person.
Video summary
Asked whether AI has a place in generating content, Pete Cooper answers yes and no. The yes is broad: if the result is entertaining, fun, informative, or creates some emotion or usefulness, then he thinks it has a place, because AI can create compelling and interesting content all of its own — in his words, its own genre.
The no is where he draws a firm line. The problem, he says, is when AI is used to replicate, clone or imitate a real human in an attempt to fool the audience. That is the boundary he thinks has to be drawn.

Does AI have a place in generating content? Well, yes and no. Yes, in the sense that if it's entertaining, if it's fun, if it's informative, if it's creating some emotion or some usefulness, then I think it does have a place because it certainly can create compelling interesting content all of its own. In fact, its own genre. Where I think we get into problems is when AI is used to replicate or clone or imitate a real human and trying to fool the audience. That's where I think we have to draw the line.
